Michael is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Brain Dynamics Centre, Westmead Hospital and the School of

Physics, University of Sydney, Australia. This objective has been approached through mathematical models of neural activity and novel methods for EEG and functional neuroimaging data analysis. He works in collaboration with local researchers in Sydney and scientists in Amsterdam and the United Kingdom. Michael is also the senior registrar in psychiatry at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney where he works in addiction psychiatry, early psychosis and psychiatry of old age. In addition to his research and clinical work, Michael is interested in music, urban geography and the rights and mental health of Australia's indigenous people.
