How to Apply

WHO CAN APPLY

Invitations to apply for the APA/AstraZeneca Young Minds in Psychiatry International Awards are extended to promising international young psychiatrists within 5 years of completing a psychiatric residency.
Applications are available at the bottom of this page.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The applicant should submit one copy of the following items in ENGLISH. The signed application form, letter of recommendation, curriculum vitae and proposal should be sent via government postal service or overnight courier to the following address:

All applications must arrive by October 31 to be considered for the APA/AstraZeneca Young Minds in Psychiatry Awards:

- Completed application form
- Curriculum vitae (per attached format)
- Proposal with the following elements:
- Award Utilization
- Title
- Summary
- Rationale
- Proposed activity
- Proposed utilization of funds
- Career Development
- What are your career development plans?
- How would winning a Young Minds in Psychiatry Award advance your career?
- Funding support form (per attached format)
- Letter of recommendation from supervisor or equivalent.

Proposal should be printed in a minimum of 10-point type, with 1-inch (2.5 cm) margins on all sides and one full space between lines, no longer than three pages including references.
